Question RL Foglights

I remember this idea being discussed a while back ago...Something that they can fit with a little custom work but they point down or some sh!t like that...

I have a friend that can get me a set out of the box RL foglights and a bodyshop that does custom high end design. Im hoping that when I get my tax money I can finally fill those foglight holes on my 2001 TL

Let me know if any of you remember something on this topic. I would appreciate greatly....Thanks

I just bought a set of yellow halogen fogs for my 99, I tested them, they don't look as yellow as those ES300 stock fogs, maybe it is because of the yellow cystalline reflectors, but they look quite nice,
i've yet to install them but I have test fitted them and they fit perfectly into those ugly holes

They do not fit. The guy who claimed they fit never even tried to install them. He just talked to a dealer who said they could do it. When he went to have it done, he was told it would cost mucho $$$ to do all the work to get them to fit.

TL-99...Thanks for your reply if you can post some detailed info on those foglights that you got.

About the RL Foglights well am gonna mess around with this idea some more. I would like to take them to my body shop guy and let him run with the possibilities of trimming the foglight hole so the fog light can fit...

Whatever you're trying to put, you're (or bodyshop) going to have hard time.

I had to spent whole day installing my fogs.

Songoku,... I know this is going to be a task and a half... The owner of this body shop does exotic modifications + He drives a TL which puts me a little at ease since he knows his way around the car. My only concern is the price of all this sh!t...I have to wait to see of the guy that works at Acura can actually come through on getting the RL foglights and for how much ...If I get past that everything else is down hill from their...

Let me ask you a question when you were deciding which foglights to pick did you ever consider the RL foglights...What made you go with the Honda fogs...?

The only reason I pick for ACCORD fog is because the wire harness can be directly installed to our car.

Paul thats what I was gonna ask you. I wanted t o to the accord conversion. The harness plugs right in with no modifications at all? I want to get the harness, lamps, and a 02 and up TL switch, Anything else I need? How much material did you have to cut behind the bumper?

I agree with Paul - it's not a simple install. My installer took 2 days to get it just right! :wow: And he vowed never to do another TL fog light install unless he got paid lots of $$$.
