rim size/bolt patten??
sorry guys, I've done a search and with all the different numbers and such, I'm really lost and I don't exactly know what our bolt pattern is?
I have a 2002 TLS and I want to get new rims, I'm think 18s, would that be a decent size? or should I go higher? What is our bolt pattern size? I see a lot of people saying + a certain number or - a certain number, but I don't get what they are talking about. Could anyone please help and clarify this out for me? Thanks. If they say 18x7.5 what does that mean? and then they say 4 lug holes or 5 lug holes? any help would be appreciated.....thanks

stock are a 5 lug hole 114.5 mm i believe. 5= number of "nuts" you screw on to hold the wheel on. 18 means 18" diameter. 7.5" refers to the rim width. you must also take the offest into consideration. it is explained here

18"x7.5" (18 is the rim size/diameter, 7.5" is the width)
Our wheels have 5 bolts... and i believe they are 5x114.3mm. That just means there are 5 bolts holding the wheel on, and the 114.3mm is the diameter of the lug circle.
A GREAT resource for information like this.. plus off-set, plus sizing, etc. is the Tire Rack. Check out the link below....
