I was cleaning my windshield the other day and found out that, althought the left wiper arm can be raised all the way up without any difficulty, the right wiper arm can only be lifted about an inch before the arm hits the top edge (windshield end) of the hood, thus preventing it from being lifted all the way up. Just in case you're trying to visualize what I'm getting at, I'm not referring to the normal sweeping motion of the wipers but the lifting of the arms, e.g., when you want to squeegee the windshield.

Is it just my TL-S or are others finding out the same problem?

It's with all '99-'02 TLs. The manual says that in order to replace the wiper refills, you need to stop the wipers in mid-sweep by turning off the car.

Doesn't help you with washing though.
