ya it is but at less than 10k miles it shouldnt be clogged or anything. you may want to check that it didnt suck anything up from the pass. side footwell into the air intake. It sucks in right there when its on recirculate.

I barely use the re-circulation feature. I usually have it drawing it fresh air since I smoke cigarettes in my car. 
I'm having it checked out Sat. If something is stuck in my filter, its still safe for me to drive around my car right?
