retinted/new audio/need some help

retinted/new audio/need some help

all the stuff to be installed (minus the shoes)

wiring the amps

more wiring

after the tint was RE-done

more amp wiring







remote bass gain




now the issue... at mid to high volume the system sounds good but at low volume i'm getting a loud hissss. the installer said i need a better inline converter? he suggested a product by sound gate (link to product)

i also need to get a new sub, ideas?

that is pretty expensive - you need a good line output converter to feed your amps with a good RCA signal. If you use a cheep one, it will pick up noise and you will hear it from your speakers. that noise you hear is always there, just the music overpowers it when you turn it up. For a sub I suggest JL Audio. Get the W3V2 line and you will be very satisfied with the sound and bass output.

well what kind do you have now? You shouldnt have to spend more than $40 or so for a good 4 channel LOC.

i've had the same LOCs for several years and i haven't a clue what brand they are.

just go buy a quality one from a car audio shop - not a cheap radio shack one and you should be fine. There is no need to spend $100 on a LOC.
