replicating dash texture
hey, i wanna ask if you guys know how i can replicate that texture the dash has. I'm putting in a custom system, and plan totally change my trunk, i might make something that has a similar texture to that of the dash.
also, i was curious as to if i can buy pieces of the leather they use in the car. i might wanna incorporate that somehow also.
last (haha, yeah, i know its a lot, but i'm in the "creating" phase right now, so i'm just trying to get ideas), how could i get certain pieces to look like my paint, which is abp. i'm not going to do any fiberglass, but i might wanna put small pieces somewhere in the trunk that match the paint. what is something the paint would nicely stick to, and give a gloss shine off?
thanks in advance

as for the texture with out making a rubber/silicone mold of the texture then making the surface from the mold i dont know how else you would do it.
as for the leather, find a good leather shop that can order in your leather.
and as for material, with out fiberglassing, all i can think of is plastic, or wood covered in bondo sanded smooth. then get your body color put into a spray can and spray it your self

anyone else know about how to make a similar texture as teh one on the dash??
fasttyms, i would think the plastic would be better, just cuz i can't seem to be able to picture wood having any type of glossy look to it....you think this is true?
