Replacing side mirror?

Ever since I bought my 00 TL last year, I've been unhappy with my driver side mirror because it has a key scratch on it and several rock chips (strangely, the passenger side mirror is fine). I got a quote for an OEM replacement for about $115 delivered but was wondering if anyone has had experience replacing these mirrors. I've looked at it, folded it inward, and still can't figure out how to remove it. Any ideas?
Also, the car is just about 2 years old. Should I worry about the paint on the new mirror housing not matching the paint on the car after a few years? Mine is black.

Thanks for any help
Casey

You remove it from inside the car. Above the door handle inside the car is a traingular shaped cover. Pop it off. There are several screws to remove to get the mirror off.
