anything is possible - the CL comes in a manual - there is a good chance there would be a match. it would be a ton of work though. I was going to do that to a V6 accord - They don't come in standard in Canada only the 4 cyl. come in stick - stupid - but my mechanic said it would be alot more than just a trannie swap - he would have to change a ton of things besides the trannie - was def not worth the money - that's why I have the SS with the TL it was the closest comprimise for honda's relyability and a stick shift, with an added luxury that I wasn't planning with the accord.....

It would be a sweet mod, tho expensive. People might say its a stupid idea and a waste of money, but I think its good to try stuff that is different. It would physically bolt up. And then you would probably have to swap out all the following from the donor CL-S: wiring harness, computer/s, clutch pedal (would have to fabricate clutch mount), gauges, center console w/ shifter and possible engine compartment stuff to get clearance around the new tranny (like headers). It would be quite a task, but you would have one unique TL. I wish the sedan came w/ a 6-speed...would've bought that instead in a heartbeat.

I haven't been a A-TL member for long...I don't know if it has ever been done before. I would like to see one though.

in theroy, if you did manage to pick up a 6 speed CLS tranny, you could drop it in to the TL but obviously you would need some ECU stuff, and the shift linkage, then theres the instrument cluster, shift gate, and whatever other little stuff... maby an axle or whatever. Prob if you did some salvaging, ebay surfing, and pick up a rebuilt 6 speed, i bet you could get it done for $3000 maxxx....
