replaced my broken rear view mirror today
Went to John Eagle Acura today to fix the broken mirror. The service at JEA is definately top notch. I have nothing but praise for Eric and Roman (sp?) who are service advisors there..If you are in Houston, JEA is DEFINATELY a place to go for service!!!
They replaced my mirror with a brand new one...under warranty...and washed the car (which I haven't washed for 8 months or so..)hehe..
While waiting for the servicing, I sat in the new 2004 TL. Definately a couple notches up from my 2002 TL's interior. The ride is excellent. All interior stuffs seemed more solid than my current one. The LED instrumental cluster is great. Of course, I glanced at the rear view mirror in the new TL and it is the SAME EXACT one has in my current one. Man,I would think the would remodel the damn mirror as well...especially when the auto dim often break down and the mirror's structurally is not sound (as in my case it drop off by itself).
Another thing I didn't like too much about the new TL is the external appearance. It looks smaller than the previous generation and not as "classy" in my opinion. The price tag for this new TL is at $38K...without navi...that's like $10K or so up from previous model...
So with all those improvement would I buy one? Probably not. I've lost confidence in Acura/Honda products after seeing so many transmission issues (but mine is still going fine though at 17K miles right now). And with 10K increase in price, I think my next car will be a Lexus of somekind.

The 2004 TL base price is a little under 33K, not 38K- either the model you saw had A-Spec package, or was way overpriced. The price difference between '03 and '04 is worth it, and is definitely NOT $10K (Base or Navi)
