![Question](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Sup guys, I wanna remove the paint from my plastic valve covers. I used Dupli Color Import spray silver with clearcoat on it. Is the any safe ways to remove the paint without damaging the plastic? Has anyone ever tried to take off their paint? Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks guys, Alex

Unfortunately, I think your gonna damage the plastic no matter what you do. Your best bet is to just paint them whatever color you want them to be, as opposed to trying to remove the old paint.
Good Luck with that one man.

If you're planning to repaint them, soak a rag in paint thinner and rub down the pieces. Plastic doesn't hold paint very well, so it should come off. Don't expect it to look like brand new when done. You will still have a little bit of the paint left on it.

Did you sand the plastic down before you spray painted it? If not, it should come off pretty easily. I sanded mine down because a rough surface will hold paint better.
