The resonators actually remove an annoying drone at certain RPM's, the kind that'll drive you crazy on the highway on long drives. Some guys have also said they do not cause a loss of horsepower.

if you are running the stock exhaust its ok to remove them. you will get a little deaper exhaust sound. if you are running any type of aftermarket exhaust, be warned it could get anoying around 2000 rpm if you remove both. that said i have both removed and comptech exhaust. i also have the quiet tip inserts for when it gets a little to anoying if running aftermarket exhaust i would only recomend removing 1 of the resonators, to see if you like the sound. as to which 1? thats up to you. i removed the big 1 first

I had both removed, on stock mufflers. It is not ricey. just a less than noticeable drone. But when you floor it and VTEC kicks in, it is a different story.
I would recommend removing both, intake resonator and exhause resonator.

if you dont intend to replace the stock mufflers then removing the exhaust resonator is fine. if you want to replace the muffler with aftermarket mufflers then you can install an exhaust resonator like a magnaflow resonator.
