Removing bubbly window trim pieces?
Does anybody in here know how to remove the window trim pieces that have the bubbly tape problem?
Ever better yet, if somebody has TSB 00-002 that would be great! I know how to remove the B-pillar covers, but can't find a single shred of info on how to remove the rest of the trim. Any replies appreciated! |
This is probably not much help to you but I had my dealership replace the tape under warranty. :toocool:

Yah, that is what my dealership is offering. It's bound to start bubbling again eventually, so I am going to remove them myself and take the pieces to a bodyshop to have them painted. Along with the B-pillar covers.

Cool. Good luck with that.

Yep, my driver side has been replaced, and already bubbling again. Some people on here said that the dealer painted it for them when they took it in instead of putting new tape back on. Dont know how good of job they did or if they took the door off to paint.

Did they disassemble your door to replace the tape???
I am curious as to whether the trim can be replaced w/o removing the door panel. I know you can replace the b-pillar covers w/o removing the door, so I'm hoping the same can be done for the rest of the trim. |

Im not sure how they did it, but the service advisor made it sound like its a pain in the ass. Also, at my dealer it was an outside vendor that did it. |
...literally on the phone right now with my body shop guy makin sure they paint those NBP with the rest of my car...
