Removed Resonator, Cleared Headlamps.

I started doing this project around 11AM. i'll take this w/ pictures step by step of what i did. i think the whole process was pretty fun and easy. just took a long time. but it was definitily worth it. only thing that troubled me was that it was drizzling all day.

before i start.. here are pics of what happens when someone tries to steal your headlamps. see that piece that broken off??? freakin losers..

removal of that plastic piece behind where the grill is supposed to be.

the bumper came off easily after popping a few screws from underneath. took less than 10 minutes to do.

that's the resonator. right in front of the wheel of the driver's side.

closer shot

unscrew and yank!!!

all gone!

bumper and resonator removal. complete.

after removing the bumper, the headlamps popped out with ease.

now gotta get that ugly yellow thing off the side

i had to get my car on a lift to take the bumper off. beautiful aint it?

yeah. this was painful. the hardest part. baking/blowdrying. i had to yank it open, then popped the reflectors off, then i had to sqeeze them back together. when glueing them back together, BUY A FACEMASK!! it wreaks.

the outcome was beautiful. more pictures to come soon. it started raining so it ended this project for today. will be continued tommarow, i'll be working on my chrome mesh grill tommarow morning! and a final picture with everything back together.

in doing this do you have to worry about water being sucked up in to the filter?

It has to if you look at what the engine tries to breathe through before and after...I know I felt a better pull when I took mine off and added the K&N
