relocate the battery
Would any of you go thur the trouble of relocating the battery in the right pass side of the trunk for more weight balance? I really feel the front is too heavy for carving curves.

i wouldn't go through all that trouble to save that small amount of weight...i know its 15lbs probbaly, but not enought to make a substantial difference right?

I have thought about it. Not for weight, but if I get the CT supercharger. The blower sits right on the battery. Summit Racing has the necessary hardware.

Three Wheelin'
KJ32 here's another way of looking at it. I've thought about this too but it does't pan out too well on paper. Our cars' weight is about 3500 wet for a decent round figure. The front half of our cars hold up 62% of the total weight or 2170lbs. Locating a 35 lb battery to the trunk makes it 2135 front and 1365 rear, up from 1330. But if you divide 2135 by 3500 you get 61%, only a 1% reduction. So I ended up not doing it because you'd also have to run at least one battery cable under the car (more weight too) and I couldn't find an easy access into the trunk. What I did do is turn the battery 90 degrees and relocated the tray so that the battery sits up against my AEM cold air pipe - this put it alittle closer to the front wheel axis and then I moved the white little coolant resevoir back more out in the open where I can now see the level at a glance. Guys with VW golfs and other small cars probably benifit more from moving batteries than us. Our cars are safe but alittle porky. Just my 02.
