Talking Received '99 Transmission Warranty Extn Notice!

Came in the mail today.
The warranty is extended for 7 years or 100,000 miles. The notice includes a list of "normal" and "not normal" symptoms to help diagnose a failing/failed transmission.
It also includes a "Request for Reimbursement" for those who have already had their transmissions repaired.
Thank you, Acura!
Now I luvmy99 even more!

Cool

The letter cited a "higher than normal" transmission failure rate for 1999 model cars. It said nothing about any particular VIN number series that a 99 must fall under to be included in the extension.
The impression I got from the letter is that all '99s are included, so if you haven't received a letter yet you will probably do so within the next few days if Acura has your address on file.

Sorry to say but you are out of luck. We were lucky to be included. But if you are just 1000-2000 miles over then depending on the dealer, you might get away with it.

hey dudes, got mine too. If you didn't get your letter yet, just relax! It'll get there eventually. However, if you haven't kept up your address with your local dealer, then there's a good chance that you won't get it...so, that's why it's good to keep them up to date, too!
