Recalls???
#2
There was a recall on the front seat belts of some early TL-Ss as well as on the driver's side window actuator. If your car just came off the assembly line these may have already been taken care of. Your dealer can put your VIN into their computer and see what recalls and TSBs apply specifically to your car. It can't hurt to ask about these if it'll save you a trip back to the dealer later.
Some things to check before you leave that have plagued new TL-S owners but are not recalls:
1. Uneven hanging tailpipes
2. Squeaks from sunroof shade when left open
3. Squeaks from sunroof rubber gasket when open/closed/tilted
4. Squeaks from seatbelt anchors on front seats
5. Center armrest console does not stay shut/pops open easily
The squeaks you may not discover until driving for a bit, but the rest you should check on.
Did I forget anything?

I personally do not feel the paint job on the 2002 TL/TL-S is as good a previous years. They have missed the boat somehow

when checking tailpipes check beyond the chrome casing and look for 'environment fallout' basically peeling paint from the muffler.
