Red face Recall item for all 2002 TL and TL-S

I found out about a possible problem with the driver side window control box. Acura has sent a recall fix for the part to all dealers to replace the control box with a new one. Seems that during the making of these window control units, moister might have been allowed in, causing the componets to possible coirode and fail. Just go to your dealer to get it fixed, .4 hours is the alloted time for the install. Hope this info helps you all.

I remember the last time I brought my 95 Prelude in when it was 2 months old to replace an in-door power lock assembly and I ended up needing the whole door repainted! The technician missed with his screwdriver and poked a dimple out from the inside. When I complained to the service advisor, he had the nerve to ask if it had been there before!!! From the inside! Just be careful and inspect the interior panels and door skin when you get your car back. Or the other option is to bring it in only when it fails.

I'm worried that once they take off and replace the panels on the door -- I'll hear all this creaking and squeaking -- anyone else worried about this? Not to mention the fact that this is the driver's side door -- I'll be able to hear them MUCH better -- joy.

It is no big deal to r and r the door panel. I would not worry - look how little time is allocated - they might not even need to pull it.

I wonder if this problenm explains why whe thw window is cracked, I can feel air rushing past my hand from the switches when I went to adjust. I'll bet some sort of gasket was either pinched or designed or mfd. wrong.
