Hi, i have a 2001 tl, and i got a replacement mirror (the dimmer went bad, and i read the thread about the free replacement).

anyway, i see how to get the mirror off the windshield, but can't see how to get the wire out...any advice??

if you open the sunglass holder by the overhead lights there are 2 screws...take them out and pull the casing down. From there you can access the plug which connects to the mirror, unplug it plug in the new one and you are set.

Super easy should take you about 10 minutes at most.

Did you get the new mirror under warranty from the dealer or from the manufacturer?
