Question RearView Mirror

I am noticing that the mirror moves after hitting a few bumps and I am constantly re-adjusting it. I snapped it out to see if I can fix it but noticed that the plastic on which it snaps together with the ball joint is broken. I know I took it off carefully as to not brake anything so I'm wondering how it broke.

Do you think I can warranty this and have the dealer fix it?

Well I just spoke to my dealer and they say no problem, it will be covered under warranty. Turns out that other people have been having similar problems and that Acura has gone back to the manufacturer of the mirror and told them to re-design it. So it might take a few weeks before I get a new one!! No big deal though, I'll manage!!

It's happening with my TLS. It starts to "shake" a little while driving and if you don't snap it back in to place it will eventually fall off. Sometimes I don't know it's happening because of all the noise from the various squeaks in this car. QC on this car sucks.

ive only had my car for two months, and from day one the mirror had lots of vibration as i drove.... had the dealer order me a new one when i first got the car and just had it installed last week and now very little vibration on the mirror exept for when the bass hits and even then its not as bad, but since i have chrome in my tint the dim feature dont work all that great cause the light doesnt shine that strong through the back window

I had exactly the opposite problem, that is, the mirror became too tight and squeeked loudly everytime I had to move it. (my wife also drives the car). The dealer fixed it and it now seems too loose but it does not move.

I took my car to a bodyshop to fix some scratches, and after I got my car back I found that the rear view mirror was dangling, I thought they broke it so I asked them to fix it, they were nice about it, but they then told me that the plastic holding the joint broke due to the car sitting under the sun and that Acura has had many cars with this problem and told me to go to the dealer. So I did, and they did fix it under the warranty, although they broke my windshield trying to remove the old mirror and had to replace it with a new windshield, but then again, it was free new windshield, so I was ok with it....
