Rear turn signals

Ok i did a search on how to install the rear turn signals, but what is this 'tab' that your supposed to file or cut off? I am holding the bulb in my hand and i have no clue what you guys mean. I am sorry i am pretty technically deficient. Anyone with pictures? Please help me. THanks.

Just line up the bulb with the socket. One of the tab (or nipple as Paul calls them ) will be in the way. Just cut/file them off

You need type 1156s like the one in the picture, not the 7440s they have on this site....

don't ifle it off .... easiest way is to simply take a pair of pliers and gently squeeze the "nipple" and twist it off ;o)

To cut it down fast and easy use a nail clipper.

Have you changed your harnest?? If not you're still using wedge type bulbs for your signals and there is no nipple to cut off.
