I need to remove the rear seat on my '98 TL to upgrade some audio components, and am having trouble removing the rear seat bottom.

I found some information on earlier Legends that say there are two tabs that must be pulled to release the front connection points, but my seat doesn't appear to have these. There are a couple of rubber pieces in about the right locations, but pull / twist / wiggling them doesn't let the seat go.

Before I break something, I'd appreciate any advice and/or instructions from the list.

I had to remove my backseat and here is how I did it. I believe your rear seat is the same as my 02 TL-S. The bottom is only held by one bolt that is located just to the right (if memory serves) of the center seat. If you run your hand between the top and bottom halves, you can feel the bolt, i believe its a 10mm. Use an extension just so u dont damage the leather. Once you get it off the bottom unclips from the body. Literally just pull up and you'll see it unhook. Hope the pic below helps...
