Rear Door Courtesy Light?

Rear Door Courtesy Light?
Hi...
I sat in my friend's 4-banger 98 Accord last week for the first time and I've noticed one thing that really surprised me: the rear doors of the Accord have courtesy lights!!
How come the 99 TL, being supposedly more upscale (i.e. Acura) doesn't have it???
Since the TL is based on the Accord, I wonder if the wiring is already in the door, but the lights are just not installed in the TL? Do you think we can buy the front door courtesy lights from the dealer and install them in the rear doors (I know...some cutting of the door panel will be required)?
One more thing...do you find that there's not enough interior light in the TL? Is there anyway to make the front map lights come on with the ceiling light when a door is opened? How about adding lights to the C pillar?
Thanks!
