Re-wiring Cig lighter

Has anyone on here rewired there cig lighter inside the arm rest? I want to rewire mine to be on all of the time, not just when the cars turned on. I was at my g/f's house lase night and my phone went dead. I only had a car charger and I didnt want to sit in the car with it on for a hour waiting for it to charge. So anyone re-wire it to be on constantly?

Nah wont drain it if nothing is pluged into it. And if something is plugged into it it will only be a cell phone for a hour or 2. Plus I have a yellow top, so a cell phone deff wont drain that in an hour.
