Re: Tokico Shocks and Struts

Hey guys,

Just wondering what is the best shocks/struts for a 1999 Acura TL 3.2? I have seen many brands and I am looking for a pair for the front and rear that will suffice, but that is also affordable. I have seen these Tokico shocks and struts for sale brand new for around $300. Is this a good price and are these shocks/struts good or bad? I have also seen Koni (Yellow) Shocks / Struts, are these any good? I have seen them for sale around $200 for the rear ones only, still trying to find the front ones for the same price. Oh, by the way I was thinking about getting the H & R Sport Springs (1.75 front, 1.75 rear) and I presume you would have to change the shocks, so that is why I was looking into these brands (Tokico, Koni, etc...). I heard about the Teins, but they are out of my price range.

What else would I have to purchase in order to drop my car besides the Springs and the Shocks/Struts? Is the shocks and struts both the same thing? What I mean is it all one piece or 2 separate pieces? Like one piece is the shocks and the other part is the strut? Kind of new to this stuff, so all the info would be of great help.

Thanks!!!!

Look on the left side panel and do a search under the subject

"Koni"

"Tokico"

"shocks"

I think you'll find a lot of different opinions from members who has your requested set up.

Good luck.
