I have a 2003 3.2TL Type S, and for some reason I hear a rattling noise coming from inside the trunk when on the highway going over bumps. I sat in the back while someone else drove the car, and when I opened the trap door which divides the trunk from the back seat, I definitely heard a rattling.

does anyone have the same problem, and what would cause this noise?

if you have navi, suspect the bracket that holds the computer/drive up. I isolated the two bolts that you see when you have the trunk open. Good luck!

If you're hearing a ticking sound, it could be the trunk re-lease cable.

Notice where I put rubber tape to keep the cable from hitting the metal parts. This worked for me, and you might want to give it a try. Good luck.
