Works great. In some cases, you wont even need to use the wipers anymore

Never had a problem... dont like driving without it. I keep a bottle in the trunk just in case. I have been using it for 4-5 years now.

I use it too ... works great. As long as you're going about 35-40mph you don't need to use the wipers in the rain.

rain x is da bomb. it's just a lil annoying to apply. i may try that accuvision by castrol next time. from reading the application instructions, all ya gotta do is spray and wipe just once vs buffing out and re-applying for rain x.

I have always used Rain X. I tried the Castrol Accuvision and still use it occasionally. Really easy to apply, but I think Rain X is a little more slick. I went back to Rain X, but when I'm lazy I bring out the Castrol. The Castrol is worth a try.

Am I the only person that notices it leaves a funky haze that is visible during night driving when lights hit the windsheild?

I heard that if it gets on any rubber (such as the windshield seals or wipers), it can make the rubber wear out or become brittle. Any truth to this? I've just been using Klasse wax on the windshield once every two months when I wax my car. I never use my wipers either

If you apply it correctly, this won't happen. I put Rain X on my cars for more than 12yrs and is the best safety product for inclement weather for the car that I can think of.
I recently installed Rain X wipers on my TLS, great so far will see how long they last but they clean perfect and at hwy speed they stay planted on the windshield.

One other bene that I have noticed is that it is easier to get the frost off of the windshield. Without it, you have to scrape; with it, you can just use the washer fluid and the wipers and it comes off a lot easier.

I heard Rain-X is like crack. It leaves a sticky film that won't rinse away. Unless you use more Rain-X. Wait maybe that's Zest. No soap. Never mind.

You guys might want to look into this:

http://www.ppg.com/gls_aquapel/main.htm

supposed to be WAY better than Rain-X in terms of longevity.

been using Rain x on the last 3 cars i have had, and i must say i would never drive without it! it is breatt the way it makes the water bead and just roll off...especially at speed on the road. i drive often without even using the wipers. application, if done right will not haze your windows, nor has it done damage to my wiper blades, though how many of us actually replace the blades yearly as recommended anyways? (I do, but still) Try it and you will never go back to naked windows glass.
