This is not a final design. But the final design will have two O-rings. If you don't like the O-ring you can remove them out.

will there be a light aperture so the stock green light for the stock radio button can be seen at night?

You can still see the green light around the knob after you install!
The diameter of the new lock will be the same as the old one. You will see after I install mine!

Very easy to install. No need to remove anything or need any tool. Just get a good grip on the old radio knob with your fingers and slowly and genlty pull it off. To install the new ones just push it all the way until it stops and screw tight the set screw on the new knob.

Cool New Knobs

I have always been disappointed with the tactile quaility of the radio knobs. I would be interested in purchasing a heavier aluminium knob for both the volume and tuning knobs on the stock stereo.

I might try Radio Shack and see what they have that fits the stereo. Any other suggestions?
