radar detector question for nj guys

driving thru garden state parkway b/w exit 123-140 these few weeks, i figured out that my passport 8500 can no more detect any cops' radar. i almost get caught on sunday for speeding. luckily, he pulled over the guy who's in front of me & we both going 80mph. so, are the cops using laser gun or what? btw, my radar works fine when driving local.

called escort about this issue. there's no new radar band in the market that passport can't detect. maybe it's just the cop sitting there without using radar. however, i recently saw a cop with a radar/laser gun on his hand tracking the cars heading south while i'm heading north. maybe it's time to go for valentine one.

you get what you pay for. V1 is the best, hands down.

He probably didn't have radar on. I have a 4500 and am EXTREMELY pleased with it. Yesterday I caught Ka almost two miles away.

I don't live in Jersey, but everytime I go to my brother's house in Livingston through the tnpike and 280 then to Eisenhower Pkway, especially on the Esenhower Pkway the cops use Ka-Band.

Oh and I have my P8500 which I think detects cops from about 1 mile.

Then again I haven't been in Jersey for a week. Next time I'm there I'll be more careful and check out if the cops are using something new. Thanks for the heads up!

You can spend the 400 now or spend it later on paying the fine and price increase in your insurance......but the best protection is not to speed.

This is the best detector money can buy. I love the directional arrows, couldn't live without them.
