You guys wouldn't believe wat happened to me today. I was just driving my TLS down the highway. Hitting around 75MPh at Southern State Pkwy(NYC). Then all of a sudden a big rattling noise comes outta nowhere, it was a FREAKIN Dodge VIper. I was like Nice...then behind him was a freakin CL600, and then a MUstang Cobra. They were all racing. I was like wtf? Should I race them? hahaha I tried to keep up with them, but they flew by me hitting around 110-130MPH. I was like damn! I was behind the Mustang, at around 115MPH. It was a nice race. Then the highway ended and it led to a local street. We all stopped at a red light. The VIper, Mustang, and the CL were all reving their engines in a 3 lane. I was behind the mustang again. Then they literally chose to street race, I saw the peel marks off of the viper, the Cl, and the freaking mustang tires. Madd smoke came out off of their wheels. All of them floored there cars, and the Viper just killed the competition. The dodge viper won, then the CL600, then the mustang cobra. It was a freakin nice race to watch man.

 

how much did the cl 600 beat the mustang by??? The 99 and up cobra's should easily beat the cl600(any year). No doubt the viper destroyed them both, it probably ate twice as much gas in the process though.
by the way, dont race on the freeway, it is extremely dangerous when you get to those high speeds. braking feet and times increase exponentially, meaning you will slow down alot slower, if you even have the chance to do so in a drastic situation. drag races from standstill should be a big deal though, just watch out for those pesky coppers.

 

I once saw a cl600 race a Z28 camaro down Westheimer here in houston after a night of partying...Boy, that was a close race too, but I didn't even bother trying to keep up with them...hahaha out of my league...at least the CL600 was, forget the piece of shiznit Z28..all that is is faster and thats it. hahahah well that was a nice race to see, huh wills? hahaha I know I would have loved to watch that race..ahahaa oh well one day who knows...

 

Man. There is no sound like a Viper V10 engine. I would have loved to hear the sound when they took off in the street. But I'm in San Francisco.

 

I agree. The massive low end torque of the 8L-V10 just rips the pavement apart. There is no match for engine displacement. But wait till it pulls up to a gas pump.

 

two weeks ago i was at an exotic car meet with 6 vipers two were supercharged and the acceleration was astounding.... 700 hp supra tt that was with us had no problem keeping up thou.
