quiet exhaust

Comptech I guess? I'm only doing rear section
I just wish I could hear a set inside the car
I could just do tips I guess...anyone have a pic of those 3.5x9 tips on a TL with the stock rear bumper...looks like the one in the retial section has an aftermarket rear lip.

This car is my 'daily' but it's also a serious USACi SQ car...so loud exhaust loses me points.
My go fast car will be purchased soon enough.

You can do the Comptechs with the silencer tip inserts ... haven't heard them personally, but people post that they quiet the Comptech down close to stock.

I have heard the Comptech and driven with those who have them, and without the silencer tips I can tell you they were too loud for my taste ... a lot of resonance especially if you are comparing them to stock.

the 3A tips don't look bad on your car. That may be what I do. I would like the hp gains of the tail section exhaust....I just don't know if I can justify 750 with silencers to take a chance...I may just see if I can buy a set used.

i dont know why? my 2000 was like i said only noticible if you were parked reving it, and that was only up to about 2000rpm (outside the car) and driving you couldnt notice the sound difference, especially on the hwy

could you hear it inside the car while reving it to say 3K rpm with the windows up? The judges do that to check for extraneous engine noise...if your exhaust is loud enough that they can't judge for enginge whine...you get less points.

Don't know I got a ride in 99WDP's car and it was noticeable especially at highway speeds, seems like I have heard others mention a 'drone' at highway speeds.

Power gains? I dont' think you are expecting any from mufflers.
