QUestion on warranty

Just wondering, If you installed HID foglights into your car...does that void the warranty of the vehicle?

No. Not for the whole vehicle anyway. It *may* void the warranty of the lighting system and related components/wiring harnesses. So if your regular HIDs crapped out in a month, the dealer might try and deny fixing them under warranty because you altered the lighting system. Even though your work probably had nothing to do with it, they could try and deny the claim. Now if your tranny failed on the other hand, they would have no reason to claim your HID fogs caused the tranny to fail and it would be covered.

B/c my high beam and my foglight button wont work. The handle that i pull to make the highbeam go on....it's stiff as a rock. And whenever I press the foglight button the light doesn't come on. I set an appt. with my dealer, but I'm hoping that it doesnt void my warranty or should I say I hope I don't have to pay for anything. Because I dont think it's my foglights doing the damage, but I do dink its the wiring inside the steering wheel.
