Question Question for those with shock sensor

For those that have added the shock sensor to the factory alarm: Can you open the trunk using the remote without the alarm going off? I got thinking about it, and wondered if opening the trunk would disable the alarm until the trunk is again closed. I don't want to have to unlock the doors before I can open the trunk every time.

for me, there's no problem when opening the trunk, but when I close it, my alarm goes off... so I have to unlock it before I close to disarm it and then lock the car again.

I don't slam my trunk so my alarm has never gone off. I just close it lightly.

I was wondering what would happen. I believe RedHot, but will try for myself when my car gets out of the shop, just to check it for myself and see if it's the same.
