No pins. All badging is doubleside taped to the car except for the "A" which has two pins. Heat it up with hairdryer set to low, then use dental floss to wedge the badging off, then clean and wax the paint in that area. There's plenty of msgs on this, search for "debadging". I did mine after washing the car. didn't even need the hairdryer, just flossed it off.

Leave the car parked in the sun for a few hours and they will come right off with a little "twist"!

I used a blowdryer to heat it up nice nice, then I used a piece of dental floss strung between both hands, and ran it behind the 3.2TL Type-S logo and it came right off. I them used a tiny bit of turpentine (sp?) to get the goo off. Then I just waxed it like usual. Came out sweet and the whole thing took about 3 min.....

Don't twist whatever you do. The corners can scratch the car if you are not carful. I used a credit card and gently pushed it accross the back and the emblem came right off. Rub the excess glue off and then use goo gone to remove the sticky stuff. Once it is all removed, you will see a 3,2TL "fade" mark. Just apply wax and let it sit for a lil bit in the shade. Then remove the wax and viola, Debaged heaven. I just did this on my 99, so dont worry about anything.

I just removed the 3.2 TL badge today. I have a Nighthawk Black TLS so the paint gets pretty hot by itself. I used this stuff called Label and Sticker Remover that i picked up at autozone for 4 bucks. It worked very well, but first test some of it on a small unoticable area on your car. I just sprayed it behind the badge, waited for about 5 minutes, and the tape was almost completely. i then sprayed some on a rag which i used to wipe off the excess glue. It worked great.

p.s has anyone removed just the 3.2TL emblem on their car? This is what i did and im not sure as to whether i like the TYPE S emblem sitting there by itself.

Some goo gone and a fishing line also does the trick.

Or a weedwhacker line.

Ive heard the same thing jps. Greely is a pretty small town, so if my badge does get stolen, ill be on the lookout for anyone with a type S badge on their car. I know i cant tell the difference between my badge and one that some1 has actually bought. But either way, ill give them some crap about it. Anyone who has a type S badge on a non type s deserves to get ragged on. Why dont they just go and pay the 20 or 30 dollars for a new, shiny one. Why take the risk. I carry some sort of weapon almost all the time (except when im at school) so if i ever catch a person trying to mess with my car, they can bet on being put in the hospital one way or another. (im not a violent person, i just believe that its the only effective way to keep these punks from stealing ppls property. Ovbiously, the local laws dont scare them enough; otherwise they wouldnt be stealing in the first place)

I HATE THIEVES!!!!!

What type of credit card did you use? The dealer told me that the Visa seems to work better that Discover Card.

1. Park car in sunshine for a couple of hours.
2. Remove badge using dental floss.
3. Use Goo gone to remove remaining "sticky stuff" off of car.
4. Wash and wax/polish area.
5. Enjoy your cars new look!
