Question concerning badging and corrosion

Hey all. I have the gold badging on my TL-S, full in back and full grill in front. Was finally able to wash all the winter grime off of it today. As I was cleaning the tail I noticed that the gold badging seems to be corroding. It has a rough surface and what looks like white and green powder/mold all over it. The front grill is fine, nice and clean still.

I had done a quick Zaino last fall, only one coat, but there was at least something there.

Is this normal? I realize that the gold badging is not as robust as the standard silver and that I can expect it to oxidize sooner than the silver, but after only 10 months?

Is this something I can get the dealer to replace under warranty? I had all this installed when I bought the car.

Is there anyway to clean it off before it works it's way through the surface? I can scratch some of it off with my finger nail now, but that will take hours to do.

Thanks for your help.

Ken
