Question about transmission fluid..
I got my oil changed and everything about 1000 miles ago (3,500 miles on the car), and I checked everything today, and I see that my transmission fluid is below the indicator holes. My '03 TL-S uses up a lot of transmission fluid, or so I think so. Is this normal? or is there something wrong? Some help please.

the transmision doesnt burn fluid like an engine does oil. if its low- either it wanst full to begin with or the thing leaks. also did you check it with the fluid at normal operating temp and engine running? thats how you are supposed to check it.

Checking tranny fliud levels in a tl/cl with the engine running is incorrect. You should always check the level with the engine warm but off. If it isnt full and was full...there is a leak. If it isnt full and it you dont know if it was full...fill it to spec and check it again at a later date.

Racinghart03 is correct on the process. Check your book. A car does not "use up" transmission fluid so you either have a leak or it was never filled correctly.
If you have your oil changed at the dealer, tranny fluid is a standard item that they check. If you have a problem, go back to them.
