Question about tiptronic

I just got a black tl-s and I love it. I just found out last night by chance how the right armrest compartment moves up a couple of inches for more comfort.

My qustion is while trying out the tiptronic, I noticed when starting in 1st if I don't shift in shifts automatically. Is this normal. I know on the highway I can down shift an dreally kick it. Can someone please inform me?

Thanks

The car will shift in and out of 1st by itself. I think only the 99's had the ability to utilize 1st through their triptronic.

Yup, only the 99s could hold the 1-2 shift.

yeh don't worry, many different types of cars (mercedes, etc..) have that automatic shift out of first.
