that's right. Same thing happened to me at around 15K miles. I just took it back to the dealer and they resurfaced the rotor for free. Haven't had any problem since (I'm at 30K now). But from what other members are saying about the rotors i'm sure i'll have problems again sometime soon. best thing to do is get new rotors. I think they still have a group buy going on for some nice rotors.

I had the same thing happen to me after about 9k miles on my '02 TL...and they covered the pads and the rotor resurfacing under warranty.
The service manager made the mistake of telling me that it was my fault because of the way I was driving stop/go traffic. I laid into him and told him he full of shit because :argue: (1) I don't drive that way nor ride the brake, and (2) told it was probably happening because the manufacturing plant (or the original dealer) over-torqued the lug bolts or that there was a defect in their parts. He just looked at me because he didn't have a response. It helps to know a little about cars and being in the automotive business.
If it happens to anyone else, push them to cover it under warranty.

Got new rotors and pads (on the second trip; during the first they resurfaced the rotors, which the TSB says they can try first.)

AcuraJoe,
Long time ... not seen ya ... we had a great turnout at the meet today at D&B.
Anyway... just get some x-drilled rotors ... SC354 has a group buy and I have bought em ... they are GREAT

I think you may have me confused with someone else? I'm in MD... But there is a D&B in MD, so maybe I'm just getting senile
What kind brand of rotors did you get? I want to upgrade at some point.
Take care,
Joe
