Question about Maintenance Required Indicator
Hello,
I was rushing for a movie, so I drove my TL really wild this afternoon. I redlined 1st to 3rd gear all the way. Nothing severe happened after I shut my engine down but some light burning smell. After I finished the movie, I started my car, the maintenance required indicator started flashing. But I'm still 2000 kms away from the next schedule maintenance. Please tell me what's wrong with it.
Thanks

dont worry about it, its just one of those built in service reminders for acura dealerships to take your money...
if you keep good maintenance of your car and follow the schedule laid out in manual, you should be in good shape.
look in your acura tl manual, theres instructions on how to reset it.

It keeps flashing until you reach the point of scheduled milage, and it just stay on.
To reset it, press & hold both RESET & SELECT button and put the key on igition and wait till the light goes off. Remember, press & hold button before put the key in ignition.
