I am going to be getting a pair of used inspire taillights.....should I get the harness and bulbs that Tim sells with the 2002 tails?? Would that make it an easier and cleaner install? If I don't get the harnesses, do the bulbs just transfer from the stock tails to the inspire tails??

I would get the harness, only a little bit more of cash. And yes, it would look cleaner from the inside. well, you have covers anyway. But the reason being is the Inspire/02 tails have a bigger bulb socket opening, thus the 99-01's don't fit right, people on this board used tape. But I figure water would get in and condense.

But, this is a two way street. It will work with the 99-01 harness. But IMO, I'd ge the 02 harness.

No water has ever came in to my car, running for 1 year plus and never a problem yet...(I don't have the '02 harness)

I've had my inpires on my 2000 TL for about 6 months now.
No water is sitting in my trunk nor in my lights

I ended up wrapping ports with electrical tape to seal the small opening for the turn signal ports

As far as I'm concerned the Inspires are as good out of the box.

you don't really need the harness... However, if you got little xtra $, I'd say get it.
