Question

Hi, I am looking to install a Pioneer DEH-P8500MP head unit and was wondering if I can still keep and use my factory 6 Disc CD Changer that is in the trunk. I have a 1999 TL. THANKS!!

I suggest you check www.c r u t c h f i e l d. com or give them a call, they are very good in helping you with all technical questions, tell them that you want to see if that unit controls your changer and if they have it, that way they will give you the info with no questions ask if they think you are going to buy the unit from them. Hope it helps.

I went to the site that I mentioned and I found for the Pioneer that you want to install the following:
BTW nice unit, not very cheap

Size Fit, What you need to know:

- You will need to fabricate a mounting kit in order to install your new receiver.
- If the factory radio is replaced, the factory sub will no longer work.
- You'll get free lifetime tech support for as long as you own your gear!

Good luck!

Thanks Maxx, I actually bought mine off of eBay and I received it brand new in the box just the other day. I saved about $200 by getting it off of eBay. Also, I just got my Metra Kit from Circuit City, I can't wait to install it. It's alright if the factory sub won't work anymore. I plan on buying (2) Rockford Fosgate HX2 RFD2212's and powering them with an Audiobahn A18001DT amp (Has anyone else ever had either of these, and if so, what are your thoughts on them). Hopefully I'll have the whole install done by Thanksgiving. Thanks again for the help!
