Quality of paint

The other day I noticed my clear-coat is peeling away in some spot of the car such place as trunk, roof. I wash my car every week, and wax it every other week. Does this happen to any of you or is it just me? Do you think its going to be covered by warranty by any chance?

Thanks.

What year is your car? I think it will be covered under warranty, as long as you can prove that nobody else has painted the car.

My car is '02, and only thing that I got painted is the spoiler. Have you experienced the same thing? It looks horrible on NBP.

Thanks

yup, some people experience the same thing. Clear coat peeling and paint chipping. The paint on our cars is too thin.

If you wax every other week, that *could* be a bad thing... too much waxing can cause extra wear on the clearcoat, but not chipping i dont think... take it back and b!tch

Dude, you don't need to wax your car every other week! Why do you do that?

Pauli: I used to wax my car every other week since my car was sitting in driveway till I moved. So I figured it might be wise to wax it. Right now I wax it once a month or so since I have a garage.

Darkshear: I'm taking my car in for 22.5K maint. this Friday, so I'll tell them that my clearcoat is chipping.

Carswell: No it looks more like after you tan your skin too much, it bubbles right, and skin peels away? It looks like that.
