purpose of 'reverse signal of select lever'??

purpose of 'reverse signal of select lever'??

What is the purpose of the this reverse signal for the navigation?

i believe it goes to the driver side fuse box, multiplex connector, but which slot?

I'm guessing it's if you have a reverse camera hooked up it will turn your navi screen to the camera when you go in reverse.

gen3 got the camera- and it would not be a surprise if other countries got a camera long before we did as well.
It `logically` would get its hot power source from the reverse gear,-back up lights perhaps? so it only activates with the reverse gear engaged,

and they use 1 wiring harness in the car assembly--for every country version- thats why all the extra connection points under the hood!

ask a stereo install shop- they will have extensive wiring diagram books and personal knowledge

in the helms manual, this wire serves a purpose. but i havent figured it out. i dont think the 01-03 cl and the 99-03 tl had reverse cameras at the time...

The Sabers and Inspires in Japan had the optional wing with the camera in the middle, no?

shrug. im just trying to install my factory navi, and i dont know where this wires goes.

i think this wire might have something to do with my position icon never moving when im in motion.
