Post protecting leather

Just wondering but do you guys do anything to protect your leather? I dont want my leather to start looking ugly after a year or two. DO you think it matters if we put crap in it or whatevers?

I just got me some Lexol leather conditioner. Haven't used it, but everyone's been raving about this stuff so I'll put it on this weekend or so. You can get this at PepBoys and that Zymol thing someone else had mentioned too.

I don't think anything would happen to the leather even without treating it with conditioner... it's a good quality and should last at least 10-15 years...

Just my 2 cents...

I've heard a lot of people usning the Lexol, but I'm going to go with the Meguiar's gold class... This is my first car with leather, all my previous Acura's had fabric. That reminds me I need to call Meguiars this week and order the stuff..... Thanks for the reminder.

I dont think you can go wrong with Zaino products, judging by the car wash and polish.

I used a friends Zymol and it recommends to warm up the surface with an hair dryer or let it bake in the sun before applying the conditioner... is that really necessary?? I just cleaned it with the cleaner once I read that. Plus, nothing will bake in the cold weather here(at this time), no matter how long I let it sit in the sun.

Well, after visiting my dealer I'm going to probably not use the Meguiars on my car for the leather (I'm going to use Meguiars Professional products for everything else), but I'm going to use this stuff called "Hyde Feed". It's the same thing that Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Mercedez and Bentley use on their cars. One of the detailers at the dealership said that Honda referred him to the product.... Anyhow, I've got a few great testimonials so that's what I'm going to use. I'm not sure how many ounces are in a jar, but they recommend that it be used at the most every six months. Anyhow, I'm going back there Thursday to get more details and such and a full list of recommendations detailing and product use. Anyhow, thought I'd pass the info along.
