At least someone appreciates Acura service!

Dealers deserve recognition and appreciation when they go above and beyond to make a customer happy.
This is how we know Acura service sucks - when a dealer actually does their job and someone posts a thread about great service.

we also do our job by letting customers KNOW what they need on their cars despite the price it costs. Most people do not want to hear that.
Now this customer ddayton217, probably will come back to his dealership because of a good experience for services or any necessary repairs. And when his warranty runs out or expires. He'll need a very vital part for his car that is way expensive..the service manager will know that, look at his service history and see that he is a good customer..
the relations will be mutual for the rest of the time he owns his Acura because he keeps very good relations with his dealer and he probably will not have to EVER worry about getting his car fixed. Depending if this guy keeps good relations or not.
That's the difference between alot of people and yourself, Coupev6, they WIN in the long run.

His experience was good because his problems were solved, but it wasn't extraordinary - they merely did their job and honored the factory warranty Honda gives the Acura TL. What makes this great?
If you're paying for service anywhere, on the other hand, you expect it to be done right. I'm not kissing the dealer's ass, or anyone else's, to get my car repaired. Period.

Ive never had a bad experiance with my dealer. They were always honest and very timly in the repair. They even went and covered my first tranny themselves(it was before honda knew thay had a issue and extended the warranty)

Ok, so you take your car to the dealership for defective parts under warranty and they replace them and go to all your regualr scheduled maintence appointments? Acura SHOULD replace their own defective parts...most people on here dropped 30K on this car, and Acura is supposed to be the premium Hondas...premium service and premium quality. So really, the cars materials should be of high quality and designed well to begin with, thus most of these problems shouldn't occur in the first place. We all know no one or nothing is perfect so their will always be minor issues. But the glass tranny, fading door trim and on and on... I love my 03 TL I'm just suggesting Loud_Whispers is way too partial...all of his comments are pro Honda. And as far as who comes out the best in the long run...Acura WAY overcharges on the tuneups...$500 sometimes more...you are better off learning about cars and getting dirty saving yourself cash and servicing it yourself. Plus you get the satisfaction of personally treating your baby. Taking it to Acura for the regualr tune ups like Loud_Whispers suggests just so they MIGHT goodwill any pary thay MAY be defective will probably is stupid. $500X say 12 scheduled maintence appointments equals $6K. Seems like in most cases Honda will come out on top.
