Unhappy Problem when engine at idle!!!!

My rpm keeps going from 1k to 2k rpm when I leave the car in Park and N. The engine sounds like it's pressing the gas and letting out and the fums are coming out of the exhaust.

I read I think all I could with the search and there is so many factors for the alternator to spark plugs to gas so I guess the best thing for me to do is bring it to the dealer. Just wanted but none of the ppl I did the search on followed up what happen at the dealer.

I have a similar problem where my idel will go between 300RPM and 1000RPM when i put my car in R or D when it's cold... the car will almost stall.. and the RPM will go back up.... I just took it in, and it's still at the dealer. Will post what they fixed when i get it back.

FWIW
First thing I would check is the coolant level in the rad. When the car is cold remove the cap and make sure the rad. is full. If its not the idle air control valve can cause the car to surge from 1-3k rpms.
