Best I've seen is $29,300. I'm not sure if that included dest.

I would consider a "good" price as under $30K, depending on the area. I paid a $29,900 + dest (price did include flaps and locks) in April w/o trying hard. Color should be irrelavent.

Why dont you wait till March 2003 when the 2003 TL comes out. Then probably they will be getting rid of the 2002 TLS for throw away prices. Plus if you fall in love with the re-designed 2003 TL you can just get that one.

For the record, this guy seems to have no idea what he's talking about. There will not be a new TL-S in March. Acura is getting back on a regular schedule with the TL, and everything I've read on here (with the exception of this guy) says the 2003 will not come out until next Fall.

$29,300 would be a great price by the way. I paid $31,000 for mine with Navi

Well I understand your grief when you think night and day that your TLS will be out modelled in less than a year. It doesnt matter whatever whether the 2003 TL comes out in march or Fall. Believe me that its definetly coming out in less than a year. So I really think that the other guy should wait for a little while and get the redesigned TL. I dont think you should mind.

IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THEN I SUGGEST YOU TRADE IN YOUR TLS FOR THE 2003 TLS IN FALL and prevent yourself further physcological trauma.

Sheesh some guys really take it personally. Its not my fault you didnt wait till 2003. Better luck next time.

Now, that is a good price, especially with the 8+% tax rate in CA. Care to provide details?

I paid $31,550 OTD w/o nav and the NC tax rate is only 3 -1/2%.

Although I highly doubt Acura will introduce the 2003 TL in March, 2002, the logic presented is ludicrous. If you keep that up, you'll never buy anything because next year MIGHT be better. I think the early 2002 release was to preempt the new Maxima, ES300, Camry, etc. releases scheduled for the fall.

I paid 30K even for my car including the rear spoiler. If I were you spend the extra money on the navi. That's the only thing that I regret not getting.

$31800 OTD if from LA. that is the price my friend got. Just a car with no option at all.

I paid $34300 w/navi w/wheel locks in Silicon Valley. I know I can go lower at lease $500, but I am not good at haggling...

I just negotiated a lease for TL-S w/o Nav for December delivery. Try as I did, I could not get the deal for less than $30,500 incl. deliv on a 42 month lease. I found one dealer that would use a cap cost of $30, 175 but he was putting the security deposit into the lease so the deal was not any better.

My monthly charge is subject to the Nov/Dec Acura residual and new interest rate. I suspect that the residual may drop from 58 to 56 or 57% but the interest rate should also drop maybe a half point or so.

In the end I got the dealer to throw in the gold emblem package and gold S for another 2.00 a month (in other words for $84.00 over the cost of the lease).

Most Long Island dealers on the S w/o nav don't want to go below 30,500. I still think they're making way too much money on these cars and that's without the holdback.

Unless you have some damn good insider info my point is that the 2003 TL will be realitvely unchanged. The complete rebuild should come in 2004. Get your facts straight before yelling at people

Depends on where you live but I tink around $29K OTD is pretty good.

$32,900 w/Nav OTD ($31,160 inc destination & the $200 advertising fee New England dealers pay; then add in taxes, plates, RMV fees). If I were buying a non-nav, I'd subtract about $1400 (the invoice cost of the Nav system, as I recall) from the non-OTD price I quoted above and then chip off another 2-3% because the non-navs are in less demand. Picking it up tomorrow -- will report on my gruelling car hunt later.

They also said that the 2002 CL-S was going to have a 6-speed and redesigned front and rear ends and it came out with none of the above. Only change was a new color and body colored mirrors. 6-speed may be out next year either as a 2002.5 or 2003 model. Stick around for more then 20 something posts, read confirmations from dealers and Acura employees who frequent this board and the CL board, then start ripping senior members. Either way, don't believe everything you read......

BTW Waffling, I paid a hair less then $32k OTD with wheel locks and that was back in July.

Phantom, the invoice on the TL-S w/o Navi is $28,951, so $29k OTD will be impossible to get. Granted, I think the invoice went up a couple hundred, so it may have been possible before, but not now.....

Keep in mind when comparing OTD prices on this board that they are dependant on a few factors--namely where the car is bought, what the sales tax and reg fees are for a particular state, among others.

I'm sure you already know this, but I'll say it anyways--I notice you're from IL--remember, just because someone in let's say CA got his for $29K OTD doesn't necessarily mean that you can get the same deal in IL, again for the reasons just stated above.

Best of luck...

Tony

Smile Thanks to all who replied to my price inquiry

I ended up paying $29,500 w/o Navi. Price included wheel locks and mud flaps.
