Power Pullies for our TL's?
What do you guys think of Power Pullie kits? Do they really help and are they worth the money? I tend to use the A/C when hot and can feel the loss in power when on. I was also told that Pullies can help with gas mileage? True or False?
Thanks,
Johnny

the only pulley upgrade that gives extra power is the crank pulley. You should look for the Unorthodox racing brand. They also make the alternator and power steering pulley also - but they are mainly for looks only and give minimal power upgrades. another thing, 85% of the power increase is from the lighter weight in the new pulley and the other 15% can come from the underdrive that you can get with the crank pulley.
The good thing is the power increase seems to come across a large part of the power band - not just up top like with some air intakes and headers - so the crank pulley upgrade is very worthwhile IMO. Here is the dyno for a CLS from their website - you can read and learn more on the site if you want.
