Over the weekend i was down at the shore and did a 1 hr complete cleaning job on my TL's interior. I had the radio on pretty low. After ONE HOUR, i locked the car, it sat overnight and the next morning my bat was dead....couldn't jump it using one of those 12V lighter jumpers.....so i called acura TLC....they came in 15 mins and jumped it.....this really pissed me off though...i'm gonna buy a yellow top optima for the future just to prevent shit like this from happening.

ANYWAY-- i was wondering how much power the bose system draws from the bat....plus the interior lights....because the optima battery says it lasts 2 hrs with a 25 AMP draw. thanks.

 

By accident did you have your seat heaters on?

And from what I've been told the sound system sucks a LOT of power. Had similar incidents happen with other vehicles.

 

seat heaters come on with ignition....i only had the acc power on.

last time the bat died, i was working on the car in the garage after it sat for a few days, then used the radio for 5 hrs then sat overnight, then didn't start in the morning....i was really surprised that it died last weekend.

next time i'm in the garage, i'll just start it with the bat boost....i'll buy an optima when this one dies...
