Question Polish and wax in 2 different brand?

Guys,

I never polish the car after purchased and am using Zymol to wax now. I'm thinking to polish it sometime soon. Can I use the polish other than Zymol brand and then use Zymol to wax it? Is it safe to use 2 different products together? After polish, how long should I wait before apply wax?

Thanks in advance.

Sure you can. The only issues are mixing polymers (like Zaino and the new BlackFire) with carnaubas, like Zymol, Pinnacle....The issue is with the bonding of a polymer and a non-polymer. They don't like each other very much.

You should be ok if you stick with that rule of thumb.

Polymers and acrylics must be applied to the paint. Waxes can be applied to the paint and on top of polymers also to increase the shine...

True, but then you'll have to strip the wax topper if you ever plan to add another coat of polymer.

Ex. People have used Blitz on top of Zaino, which is fine. However when it comes time to add another coat of Z1, Z2, or Z5, they won't bond to the Blitz. Have to strip the Blitz first. P.I.T.A. if you ask me.
