^^ Prepare for the Worst in most cases...
You can start by changing the ATF but that only gives you some time before the trans goes kaput!

How do you know? Isn’t the code p0740 for a toque converter clutch solenoid? I have 2000 Acura TL just did a full rebuild 3 months ago that code popped Up if you any knowledge about these car let me know thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Please read this thread from the beginning, it pretty much sums it up. Use the search function for things like P0740, transmission fail, AV6, shifting, etc. These transmissions have a faulty design and are well known to fail, so rebuilding a badly designed transmission is an iffy proposition at best.

Take your car back to where you had the rebuild done immediately and have them check it out.

Hey thanks for the response back . I’m going to take the car back tomorrow to the shop . The car still shifts fine but I does jolt more frequently. What should I have my mechanic check for because he’s old and he does his jobs pretty fast and I’m scared he will mess it up more lol. Please respond back fast if you can thanks

Just have him check the code and maybe the condition of the fluid. Is there a warranty on the rebuild?

Yeah there’s one year Warranty on the rebuild. Car shifts ok a little jolt.
